Upcoming BCI Training Courses Offered by the HISPI

In response to demand for a more definitive and consistent route to BCM education, the BCI has developed a 3 day entry level training course based on the BCM life cycle as defined by the BCI's Good Practice Guidelines (GPG).
This training is delivered internationally, on behalf of the BCI, by the Holistic Information Security Practitioner Institute (HISPI) www.hispi.org, and in cooperation with Avalution Consulting, LLC www.avalution.com.
This course is not for absolute beginners in BCM.
Students in the course are expected to be familiar with BCM, to have had some experience in BCM, and to have read the GPG. They are not expected to be experienced BCM practitioners.
The course is aimed at allowing attendees to take the CBCI examination and with one year’s experience to reach AMBCI professional grade level. The course follows the GPG 2010 and consists of five modules:
*COURSES START AT 8:30AM AND END AT 5:00PM FOR DAYS 1 - 2. DAY 3 ENDS AT 3:00PM WITH EXAM DISTRIBUTED AFTER THE COURSE.*
Module 1 Policy and Program Management
Embedding BCM in the Organization’s Culture
Module 2 Understanding the Organization
Module 3 Determining Business Continuity Strategy
Module 4 Developing and Implementing a BCM Response
Module 5 Exercising, Maintaining and Reviewing BCM
Students will have the opportunity to sit the exam immediately following the completion of the course on day five.
Students that have undertaken the entire course will be offered an affiliate membership free of charge for a one year period.
